Enclosed within this folder are the most recent CCL's available for your SupraExpress 56k modem. These files will work with both the new V.90 SupraExpress 56k modems and the K56Flex SupraExpress 56e/56SP modems, as well as all previous Diamond or Supra modems.
They are designed to work in the following applications: Apple Remote Access 2.1 & 3.x, Open Transport PPP, and any program that uses standard Apple CCLs. (If your application does not need CCLs, you do not need to add these files in order to use the modem.)
You will need to add the CCLs to the Mac's Modem Scripts folder, inside the Extensions folder.
To make use of these CCLs there are a few steps that need to be followed.
1. Within the same folder as this README are the CCLs:
• Supra 56 non-PowerMac
- sets port speed to 57600 BPS, best for older non-PowerMac systems
• Supra 56 for PowerMac
- sets port speed to 115k BPS, suitable for PowerMacs
• Supra 56 (Force 336)
- prevents connections higher than 33600 BPS, for troubleshooting high-speed connections
• Supra 144/288/336
- designed for use with all older Diamond modems
2. Open the Diamond CCLs folder and move it into a position so that you can still see its contents when opening up the following folders:
3. Open the Hard Drive.
For Mac OS 8.1 and earlier
i. Open the System Folder.
ii. Open the Extensions folder.
iii. Locate the Modem Scripts Folder, BUT DO NOT OPEN IT.
iv. Drag the CCLs from the Diamond CCLs folder onto the Modem Scripts Folder and release.
v. Close all open windows.
For MacOS 8.5
i. Locate the System Folder, BUT DO NOT OPEN IT.
ii. Drag the CCLs from the Diamond CCLs folder onto the System Folder and release.
iii. A Dialog box will appear telling you that the CCLs will be placed in the correct folder. Click "OK".
iv. Close all open windows.
You are ready to select these CCLs in the Remote Access Set-up or within the OT/PPP Modem Control Panel.
